If everything is up and running this should be my first posting as a new Ubuntu member on Planet Ubuntu.
Some words about me? Just check out my application form for Ubuntu membership which you can find on the official wiki: CasparClemensMierau. So, as you might notice there, my focus in my involvement with Ubuntu lies on Berlin based local activities like organizing our well known release parties (Yes, we nearly hit the one hundred person mark last time – with dj, lectures and all might imagine. Expect more to come. Next time we will show you even more.) but also more technical stuff like bug reporting/triaging.
So that’s for now. Feel free to contact me under „damokles at ubuntu dot com“ for questions regarding Ubuntu in Berlin/Germany or check out our current page UbuntuBerlin.
I was in Berlin from October 2006 till Sep 2007, for studying at Humboldt University. I wish you were there earlier so that I could have better time. Berlin is unforgettable as I turned into an Ubuntu-er while in Berlin. Now I am in Pakistan, trying to convert people around me to linux
Hi Faisal,
what a pity to hear you did not find the Ubuntu people while staying here. But nice you have been „converted“ here and continue to work in Pakistan. Feel free to contact me when you are around Berlin again or if you need some hints for your community work there.
Best from Berlin!
Thanks,
I am active here but only virtually, I mean on a couple of websites.
I plan to leave for Canberra, Australia for my PhD, in next few weeks, hoping to meet some Ubuntu-ers there.
You really come around, don’t you? I’m sure you’ll meet some Ubuntu guys there. Just check out the official loco list on the Ubuntu wiki or ping the guys at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AustralianTeam
